Romans 12:2 NKJV And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. |
|
The average person has between 50,000 and 70, 000 thoughts per day. In fact it seems that the human mind at least on the subconscious level is possibly incapable of not thinking. All of us have experienced our minds cycling from one thought to another constantly searching, seeking, pondering, wondering and analyzing, never seeming to stop.
|
Our thoughts influence every decision, word and action we make. In fact our thoughts affect our emotions and cause our bodies to respond physically which can lead either to the peace of God that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7 NKJV) or to stress, anxiety and ultimately sickness and disease. Thus we can see the importance of a Renewing our Mind in order to bring our thoughts under captivity and pull down the strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NKJV) caused by a toxic thought life so we can walk in the abundant life Christ promised us (John 10:10b NKJV).
|
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 NKJV |
For the weapons of our warfare are
not carnal but mighty in God for pulling
down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NKJV |
Jesus said "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly".
John 10:10b NKJV
|
We must practice daily to renew our minds so that our thoughts are in alignment with God's Word. |

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear. John 4:18 NKJV
|
As we grow up spiritually we develop trust as the truth of God's Word and character as well as His love, promises are revealed. Let's look at God's Word and see what is says about trust.
|
Trust Defined - To believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength
of someone or something.
|
Synonyms: confidence, belief, faith, certainty, assurance, conviction, credence; reliance
|
John tells us in 1 John 4:18 NKJV There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We know the synonyms for fear are: terror, dread, anxiety, horror, distress, fright, panic, alarm. God’s Word does not tell us that these feelings are God’s desire for us, His children. Yes, we are to have reverential fear, respect and awe of God, who He is and His mighty power but not cowering in fear and dread. However,
- Psalm 111:10 NKJV The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
- Proverbs 1:7 NKJV The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction
- Proverbs 14:27 NKJV The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.
We are to fear nothing and no one but God with the reverential fear that is due Him.
- Joshua 1:9 NKJV Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
- 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”.
- Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
- Job 13:15 NKJV “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him”
- Psalm 56:11 NKJV In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
- Isiah 41:10 NJKV Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Beloved, trust in the Lord...

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 KJV
|
Foundational Understanding
- As we proceed through our study on HOPE we must be very clear that the most prominent definitions of the Hebrew and Greek words are Trust, Wait, and Endure.
- These three Hebrew and one Greek words were used 185 times and translated as Wait, Endured and Endures, Trust and Trusts 138 out of 195 times.
- Thus our position is: We are to Trust while waiting and possibly enduring.
|
Hope for the Body of Believers
We use the word hope to describe our anticipation of a desired outcome or obtainment of something. Often we hope as though wishing of something we’d like but in our heart aren’t sure it will come to pass. However, as we refer to the Word of God we see that HOPE is defined most frequently when translated from the Hebrew and Greek as Trust, Wait, Endure. Thus we are instructed to:
TRUST in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV)
WAIT on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart (Psalm 27:13 NKJV)
But those who WAIT on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 41:31 NKJV)
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy ENDUREs forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34 NKJV)
Beloved, be encouraged as you put your trust in the Lord wait patiently upon Him as His mercy will endure and sustain you forever.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NKJV
|
Why I should fall in love…Because…
- I was created to love
- I was created by, in, through and saved because of love
- I was created in the image and likeness of my God who IS love.
- No matter how I try to fight, ignore or deny it; love is in my DNA (Divine Nature Assigned) by God, through God and ultimately for God.
We are instructed and commanded to love.
- Matthew 22:37-39 NKJV Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
- Define
- Shall – Expressing an instruction or command; a strong assertion or intention; the future tense.
- Neighbor – According to the Good Samaritan in (Luke 10:30–36) Jesus teaches that a neighbor is anyone and everyone; perhaps particularly those who need our help.
- 1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
- Define
- Abide – The word "abide" basically means "to remain."; accept or act in accordance with (a rule, decision, or recommendation).
- Synonyms: comply with, obey, observe, follow, keep to, hold to, conform to, adhere to, stick to, stand by, act in accordance with, uphold, heed, accept, go along with, acknowledge, respect
- 1 Peter 4:8 NKJV And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
- 1 John 4:7-8 NKJV Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
- Deuteronomy 10:12:13 NKJV “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good?
Here the Word of God explains how love should look, feel and behave.
- 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NKJV Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
- Define
- Suffers – To tolerate, experience or be subjected to (something bad or unpleasant) synonyms: tolerate, put up with, bear, stand, abide, endure
- Envy – The desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable attribute belonging to someone else
- Iniquity – Gross injustice; unfairness; wickedness; sin
- Endures – To continue to exist in the same state or condition; to remain firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding though it is difficult
- Romans 13:10 NKJV Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore of love is the fulfillment the law.
Most of us have been in love at one time or another. Some desire to fall in love again.
- When I consider what it is we’re looking for or desire in a love relationship I want to refer to Christ and what He says and demonstrates regarding love.
- We learn in Proverbs 18:22 KJV 22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the LORD.
Just a few thoughts about love to reflect upon.

The first message God gave me for the people of India is "Fire for a Generation!"
The Fire of God showed up and out as usual and all I can say is Our God Rules and Reigns and is Faithful to do EXACTLY what He says He is going to DO!
These people were simply in awe and so in the position to receive it ALL from Abba!
The sounds of the cries from the inner heart as it went up to the Throne of Grace was truly unspeakable. He is a God that is ready to move forth in His people like Israel. I believe in this generation, there are Hungry souls that desire and thirst for more like never before.
The people of India was primed and ready for change and for more. Through their obedience they receive far more than what they could ever imagine!
My question to you, are you thirsty? Are you hungry? Are you looking for change? Are you seeking Him day and night? He is knocking at your door! Let Him come in!
My! My! My!

Here are some Pearls of Wisdom! |
It does not have to be January 1st to give yourself a chance to make the most out of your day – and your life. Every day is a new day and a fresh start to learn, grow, develop your strengths, heal yourself from past regrets or hurts, and move forward older and wiser. Every day gives you a chance to reinvent yourself, to fine-tune who you are, and build on lessons of what you have learned. It is never too late to change things that are not working in your life and switch gears, instead of thinking in the same old ways, hoping for a different outcome. Be nimble, be flexible, and keep an open mind to start each day anew!
Just saying…
Look at every day that God graces you with life – BRAND NEW!

10 Examples of Humility Explanation
Humility is the place of where our entire dependence is on God. It is from the very nature of things, the first duty and the highest value we as the creative beings should possess; and it is also the root of every virtue.
Over the past couple of months, I have been studying this concept that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ possessed and operated in every day of His life here on earth and in heaven. I found myself outlining at least 10 examples that can be role models to us as we grow up spiritually in this area of “Humility.”
Are you ready to step out of yourself and take a leap in learning a little more? Study the lives and humility of the ten examples. You will never be the same!
