Shante Yvette Knight Foundation

Shante Yvette Knight, the woman, was a loving, caring and compassionate person with a quiet demeanor that spoke volumes. She went after her dreams with a diligence that inspired those around her, especially in her bout with cancer. There were many times where the physicians stated that she would not live and Shante would look them in their eyes and tell them with great confidence and honor being a King’s Daughter that, “She will live and not die and that her God will see her through it all.” And He did! They told her that she might not live long enough to walk across the stage and receive her Master’s Degree in Social Work and she did! They also told her that she should not go on a vacation with her cousin because she needed to have a mastectomy and she would not be up for it and she did! They told her many things that would deter others, but Shante accomplished everything she wanted too because she knew her source. This mighty woman of God was truly a warrior of the Kingdom. With every challenge that came her way, she embraced it with love, joy, peace, excellence and righteousness. Her smile was radiant and her laughter was contagious. Her love was unconditional and her life was exemplary. Shante has impacted all whom God has placed before her.
