Ministry Team members were CEO & Founder of “GO YE”, Reverend Tracey Arseneault, Minister Lorenda Ford, Minister Darnetta Key, Reverend Misti Long, and Reverend Melissa Thompson. Every team member came equipped with the Word of God and expounded in their teachings what Father God had given them for the host church and the surrounding community. The Holy Ghost demonstrated His power through the laying on of hands and ministering healing to the sick. He manifested His presence through prophecies, words of wisdom and knowledge, and tongues and interpretation. Through discernment, intercessory prayer and deliverance, every captive was set free. Hallelujah!
Min. Darnetta Key held the torch high on opening night with the question, ‘What Are You Believing God For?’ Using Scripture and personal testimony, she greatly encouraged us to build and maintain a strong faith- walk in the Word. The torch was then passed to Rev. Misti Long who spoke powerfully on the importance of ‘Reverencing God’ and ‘The Call of God’. Her messages charged us to minister God’s reconciliation to a lost and confused world. The hopes of despondent, depressed, and disenfranchised people can only rise up into the newness of life when the people of God are stirred up for God.
Next, Min. Lorenda Ford spoke passionately about ‘Soul Winning and Discipleship’, reminding all of us to be committed and compassionate in getting people saved and growing in the Lord through our consistent prayers and fellowship with them. Rev. Melissa Thompson ignited the hearts and minds of all attendees with her message, ‘Visions, Dreams, and Divine Appointments’. She taught everyone to write ‘the vision’ down and make it plain and encouraged us to be persistent and consistent in speaking out the vision God has given. We need to be fully persuaded in the Lord that every anointed vision is an appointed vision with an appointed time; it will surely come to pass!
Rev. Arseneault concluded the conference, first by recapping all of the Word that had been preached that week, then delivering an ‘on-fire’ message about the ‘Spiritual Challenges’ confronting residents of the Bronx. Her blazing message burned a deep desire into the hearts of everyone to “get in alignment with God”. We have to grab hold of His fire and power in exercising our faith in order to be and experience God’s best blessings! The fire of God descended and everyone received a fresh infilling of the Spirit and the fire of God!
Pastor Kenneth L. Thompson kept the visiting ministers on fire by constantly stoking the flames with his words of encouragement and positive feedback on the high points of each service. He gave timely and consistent commentary on the accuracy and quality of specific themes in the sermons and prayers as they went forth daily. He shared publicly with the Ministry Team how they were an answer to prayer for the congregation to ‘see and know’ what it means to be hosts for the
Holy Ghost to unveil, unfold, and reveal God’s plans and purposes for the glory of the Lord.
The Holy Ghost prevailed as the conference leaders declared and decreed ‘Change!’ and ‘A New Day!’ for the Friendship Church family and the community of the Bronx, New York!
